Quill & Cross exists to glorify God by proclaiming the sufficiency of Scripture, the supremacy of Christ, and the sovereignty of God’s grace through devotionals, theological reflections, and writings on the Christian life from a Reformed perspective.

My prayer is that every article points beyond itself to the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ, encouraging believers to treasure Him above all things and to walk faithfully according to His Word.

• When I Cannot Carry Her Burden, I Can Carry Her To Christ
  There are weights the soul carries that no distance can lighten. When a mother’s body fails and miles separate us, the fifth commandment still stands. The only true way to honor her is to carry her to Christ in prayer.
• When “Enough” Is Not Enough
  Esau said he had enough. But having things is not the same as having God. Scripture will not let us rest in the appearance of contentment.

  Sometimes the Lord takes a thing you thought was already in motion and sets it down for a while. The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
• The Vanity of Lesser Pursuits
  How prone the heart is to seek satisfaction in that which cannot satisfy, while the Fountain of Life stands open before us.
